English as a Second Language Instructors (Part Time)
Centro Latino has an ongoing need for part-time ESL instructors for our English Communication at Work classes. Centro needs to identify qualified teachers for future projects that are being developed as well as substitute teachers that are available on an on-call basis. Generally, each class will meet for three hour sessions, twice a week for up to 20 weeks per cycle. Classes generally run during the morning or late afternoon and evening, and some on Saturdays. Total teaching hours average 6-12 paid hours per week (+ paid prep time).
Minimum requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field and demonstrated classroom experience working with adult learners. Must have strong interpersonal communication and language skills. Mass. Teacher and/or ABE licensure a plus. Compensation: $23.17 per hour.
